PEC 22 Health and Safety Guidance

In line with the official public health guidance in Greece, PEC participants checking in to tourist establishments across the country are no longer required to show a COVID-19 certificate of vaccination/recovery or a negative result to a PCR or rapid test. Wearing face masks is only required in health facilities and on public transport.

At the conference venue, we strongly recommend participants to wear a mask and practice social distancing as much as possible.

We also recommend taking a rapid antigen/lateral flow test before attending the conference, and if possible, before each day of conference participation. Rapid antigen/lateral flow tests can be purchased from chemists in Athens. Chemists can also perform these tests on request.

Participants who have symptoms of COVID-19 or who have been in contact with confirmed COVID-19 cases should self-isolate and notify the hotel reception or the doctor on-call, who will provide advice on the necessary steps. Confirmed COVID-19 cases must quarantine for at least 5 days. If you have symptoms, you should not attend the conference.
